  1. Start your day with an easy warm up and for this you just need to swim anywhere between 200 to 400 meters and make sure your speed is slow and also ensure that you compare your stroke after every 100 meters and after that take rest if required.
  2. After resting for a while complete swimming at least for 300 meters in 3 consecutive sets of 100meters. Make sure that your speed should be moderate because there is no stroke preference for this. Therefore, you must at least give yourself resting time for about 10-15 seconds.
  3. Finish your swimming for another 300meters but this time break it into 2 sets each i.e. 150meters each because then it would become quite easier for you and make sure that the speed in the first set should be moderate and after swimming for 150 meters take some rest for about 20seconds. After the first set is completed practice the second set by increasing your speed according to whatever is needed and it should be up to 90% and similarly it should be followed by resting after every 30 seconds.
  4. After the whole process is competed cool your whole body down by just swimming the last set of 200meters and make sure you remain slow this time and if you desire to use fins you can use it for this purpose.

Here are some of the most common and useful tips that will initially help you in improving your stamina for swimming:

  • It’s important to have a full fledged meal which includes lots of carbohydrates and grains like oatmeal, pasta and rice etc just half an hour before you go for swimming.
  • It’s important to keep yourself hydrated and for that you should drink enough water before jumping into the pool.
  • During this process if you feel thirsty make sure you drink water to keep yourself hydrated.
  • It’s important for you to take complete care of yourself and at least once in a day practice stretching after every swimming session so that you don’t run out of water for the next session.
